In the past few months, passengers all over the nation have been complaining that they are being told they are "too late" to check in for their Delta flights. Single passengers, passengers with children, international flyers, and unaccompanied minors are just some of the people being turned away. The plane is still at the terminal, so what's the problem?
In April 2025, Delta rolled out new timeframes to help ensure that flights are leaving on time. Other than printing a ticket and getting through TSA, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make a flight happen. Our local Delta representatives go above and beyond to be able to help all of our valuable passengers to have the best travel experience they can, within the guidelines they are given. Here at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport, all of our inbound and outbound flights are exclusively through Delta. While we are owned by the City of Albany, we must abide by Delta's guidelines, meaning we are unable to make exceptions on their behalf.
Not sure when to arrive for your flight? Earlier is the safest option! Check out the new timeframes provided by Delta (pictured below) that rolled out in April 2025. Still have questions? Please feel free to give us a call at (229) 302-1500 and a member of our staff will be happy to assist! ✈
