Meet the Director

 

David Hamilton, a native of Cordele, Georgia, relocated to Albany in June 1992. He is married and a proud father of two children. David holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Georgia Southwestern University. He began his career with the City of Albany in 2002 as a Planner and later advanced to Director of Transit, a role he held for four years. In March 2015, David was promoted to Transportation Director—a unique position overseeing both the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport and Albany Transit departments.
