Commission Approves Rolled Back Millage Rate
Albany, GA (July 23, 2019) –The City Commission adopted a reduced millage rate of 9.729 tonight which supports the revenue needs of the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget. The millage rate is reduced by 0.8% from Fiscal Year 2019’s millage rate of 9.804.
This is the 5th consecutive year the City has adopted the rollback rate which means a decrease on property tax for the citizens of the City of Albany.The fiscal year 2020 budget for the City of Albany totals $288.3 million. The fiscal year runs from July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020.
