City Purchases Property for Transportation Center
Albany, GA (July 23, 2019) –The City Commission voted to purchase property at 300 W. Oglethorpe Boulevard and 303 Highland Avenue for a new transportation center for approximately $1.59 million.
The properties are where the bus station is located currently. The purchase of this property will allow the city to move forward with the development of the transportation center. There are federal, state and local funds for this project.
David Hamilton, Director of Transportation, stated, “I am more than excited to be moving forward with this project. We will move rapidly into the design phase of the project and will be requesting feedback from the community.”
