Public Services Competitive Grant Program  

 

The City of Albany is issuing a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from eligible nonprofits to provide public services for low- and moderate-income residents of Albany, Georgia. 

As an entitlement community, the City of Albany provides public service activities to low-and moderate-income (LMI) residents of Albany, Georgia.  This solicitation seeks proposals to provide services to low and moderate income residents including but not limited to Employment Services, Child Care, Education Programs, Homeless Persons Services, Recreation Services, Health Services, Crime Prevention, Public Safety, Substance Abuse Counseling/Treatment and Senior Citizens Services.  Priorities for this program may be found in the City of Albany Consolidated Plan 2016-2021.

 Based upon availability of funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the maximum grant amount that an agency may request is up to $25,000.

The submission date is Thursday, February 27, 2020 no later than 4:00 PM. Interested nonprofits may submit one (1) original application and four (4) copies (including attachments) to:

All agencies interested in submitting a proposal are strongly encouraged to attend the Public Service Competitive Grant Workshop on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Microbusiness Enterprise Center located at 230 South Jackson Street (First Floor Conference Room) Albany, Georgia 31701. This is no charge for this workshop.

 

 In addition to, there will be Program Logic Model Workshop tentatively scheduled for February 13, 2020 starting at 9am, which will cost $20 to attend.  Program Logic Model is one part of the grant application process.
