New Dining Destination Approved for Downtown
New Dining Destination approved and set for Downtown Albany
Albany GA (February 16, 2018) – The Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority (ADICA) approved 5-1, and the Downtown Development Authority approved 4-1 with one abstention, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to legally bind negotiated terms between The Flint, full service restaurant, and ADICA.
The Flint is a full-service restaurant and special event space that will be located at 112 Pine Avenue. Housed in a historic cotton exchange building, the restaurant will feature lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and a full bar in an open industrial space with modern finishes. The Flint will offer a variety of innovative seafood and southern farm to table dishes. The building located at 112 Pine Avenue is directly adjacent to the Pretoria Fields Microbrewery and would be a complimentary food establishment for its visitors and other visitors of Downtown establishments.
The Flint will create employment consisting of 35 hourly positions and four managerial positions. However, the greater benefit is a dining destination in Downtown.
